Full Circle Gung Fu
Full Circle Gung Fu is an eclectic style of Martial Arts that has a strong foundation in Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do and Running Fist. The system also borrows techniques and principles from Jujitsu, Kali-Silat and other Southern styles of Gung Fu. It has a heavy focus on Self Defense and dealing with the realities of combat in today's world. The Chief principle or guiding light is to develop the ability to flow, from moment to moment, technique to technique, each movement should give birth to the next one in a continuous flow. The end result is the ability to overwhelm your adversary with Techniques that are both strong and fluid, We encourage cross training in other systems, members with previous experience are welcome to share their knowledge to add to the systems strength. A popular saying in our art is " We bring it all to the table, if its food we eat it, if it's trash we discard it" this mean that each practitioner evaluates the material being brought to them, if its something they can use (if its food) they keep it and develop it further, sometimes however after learning a technique they may realize its not for them and after careful consideration they can decide to throw it out. FCGF encourages brotherhood between all styles and systems, we believe that while we may all come from different branches we are all apart of the same family and we should focus on the root which unites us.
The following information is listed here to share some light on the history of the foundational arts in
Full Circle Gung Fu
Original Jeet Kune Do (Jun Fan Gung Fu)/ Jeet Kune Do Concepts
Jeet Kune Do is the Art and fighting Concepts taught by the late Bruce Lee, students will first and foremost begin their training by being immersed into the Original material that was taught while he was alive. Students are first given a strong base in the foundational art of Jun Fan Gung Fu (Bruce Lee's original mix of Wing Chun, Boxing and Fencing), Once a solid base is created they will begin to explore a more conceptual approach by integrating the JKD Concepts approach to their training. The School Of Flowing Fighting Arts combines both the original and concepts branches of Jeet Kune Do (JKD) into its curriculum. This is due to the fact that our instructors have trained with many different branches of the JKD family, this was done to get a better understanding of the art as well as a greater respect for the many different interpretations of what people believe JKD is. Our primary focus is train to be as effective and as efficient as possible in our training regardless of what art we are doing.

- Known for its intensive weapons training Kali-Silat is one of the most effective systems to learn for self defense. Kali-Silat is a generic name given to a number of Filipino Martial Arts. Wing Chun
Wing Chun is a close range and highly combative system of southern Gung Fu. It is a martial arts system that teaches the practitioner how to deal with pressure and use their attackers force against them. There are many legends of how the style came to be practiced but the general consensus is the art came from a Shaolin nun named NG Mui. There are many different lineages and branches of wing Chun in the world today. The style of Wing Chun we teach is a blend of Hong Kong (Ip Man) Wing Chun and a Family Style from Mainland China known as Chen Family Ving Tsung. Contrary to how other people may teach the Art We train to use Wing Chun in any avenue, whether that be self defense or in competition.
The following Class is for Dedicated Students and is By Invitation Only
Running Fist Kung Fu
Running Fist is an eclectic martial art that is taught through a series of concepts rather than a technical approach to martial arts. Once the concepts are fully understood, the student can quickly adapt to the many variables that can take place during combat. Similar to the way in which a flowing body of water adapts to obstacles in its path. Running Fist Kung Fu teaches the practitioner that each technique should continuously give rise to another technique without hesitation; the tempo and flow of these techniques should rapidly increases in speed. This will give the Running Fist practitioner the ability to land a continuous combination of strikes against that person. For example: When a drop of water is followed by another drop it has the potential to become a steady stream of water. Running Fist was created by Sijo James Robinson for more information on him and his art visit his website on our links page
Whats in a name? A few words from the founder about why he calls his art Full Circle Gung Fu
I call what I teach Full Circle Gung Fu (Kung Fu ). Not because everything I teach is Chinese, but because of the meaning of the word. Gung Fu means 'Acquired skill through hard work.' One of the skills I try to give you is the ability to flow from moment to moment, technique to technique. The name of the art is not as important as what you are learning. What happens when someone throws a punch at you? If you block it, were you using Karate...? Kenpo...? When the fight is on what you train in no longer matters, what matters is what comes from you naturally. Your techniques must flow from you without thinking . When you understand the concepts of flow, all arts open themselves up to you. The goal is not to practice the art, but to make the art become part of you. This is not always an easy concept for people to accept, but if you're willing to put forth the effort we are willing to help you reach your goals.
